While our endeavor has, all along, been to help our clients restore balance and harmony in their lives, we have always believed in sharing our blessings with those, we cannot physically reach out to. As a part of our philanthropic initiative, we proudly support the cause of SOS Children villages in US ( http://www.sos-usa.org ), a non-profit committed to nurturing and educating orphaned / abandoned children. We have taken a pledge to support these less privileged children by helping them achieve their educational goals so that they are able to earn a living after they step out of the SOS homes, on attaining the age of majority. We have pledged to contribute 10% of our profits to SOS Children Villages on quarterly basis. We believe that an educated individual lays the foundation of a better tomorrow.
About SOS Children Villages –
To build families for children in need, help children shape their own futures, and share in the development of communities.
SOS Children’s Villages is the world’s largest organization dedicated to orphaned and abandoned children. SOS envisions a world in which every child belongs to a family and grows up with love, respect, and security.
In a world filled with poverty, violence, and injustice, the greatest victims are often children. Since 1949, SOS Children’s Villages has worked with partners in each community to help families care for their children. For those without familial support, the Children’s Village provides a safe home, a loving family, and hope for a brighter future. With a presence in 133 countries, including the United States, we raise more than 80,000 children in over 500 villages. The medical, educational, and family strengthening programs of SOS impact another 1.1 million people annually.
Worldwide, 153 million children have lost one or both parents. Less than one percent of orphans will be adopted. In the words of Nelson Mandela, “SOS Children’s Villages provides the foundation for life to children who need a place to call home.”
SOS Homes –
Life at SOS Children’s Villages: Children who have been abandoned or orphaned come to SOS Children’s Villages where they are integrated into a loving family environment. They are nurtured and supported by an SOS Mother and up to 15 other children in their SOS home who become their SOS brothers and sisters. Strong bonds develop within these “SOS families”, and even after the children are grown up and leave the village, these family relationships endure. While growing up, SOS children have the benefit of a stable, loving family environment that includes the necessities of life such as clothing, meals, medical care and a high-quality education. Children remain in their SOS home within an SOS Village until they are prepared to create lives for themselves as independent adults.
